Artwork requirements
Large format is read from metres away, so it needs far less resolution than print does - but it is less forgiving about scale and bleed.
- Print-ready PDF with no trim, crop or registration marks on it
- Set up at 100% scale full size, not scaled down. We'll send you the right artwork template for your chosen specs once the quote is approved
- Vector art if you have it it scales to any size and the edges stay sharp. A photo or a flattened logo can't
- Bitmap images at 130 dpi or higher at full size large format is read from metres away, so it needs far less than a business card
- Fonts converted to outlines as paths or curves, so nothing substitutes on our end
- Every image and element embedded anything linked rather than embedded arrives missing
- CMYK, not RGB and if brand colour is critical, send Pantone references from the PANTONE+ Solid Coated library
We'll send you the template
Once you've chosen your specs and approved the quote, our team sends the correct artwork template for exactly that product and size, with the bleed and safe area already marked. Nothing to hunt for, and no guessing which one applies.
Not sure? Send what you have. Our in-house design team checks every file before it goes to press and we'll tell you if something needs fixing before it costs you a reprint. Artwork preparation is quoted separately, and you'll never get a surprise line item.
Common questions
Will it damage the wall or the glass when it comes off?
Not if the right adhesive goes on in the first place, which is why we ask how long it needs to last before we quote it. A removable adhesive is made to come away cleanly after a promotion. A permanent one is not, and using it on a painted wall for a two-week sale is how paint comes off with the graphic.
Can people still see through the window?
Yes, if you want them to. One-way vision film is perforated so it reads as a full graphic from outside while staying reasonably clear from inside. Frosted film gives privacy without blocking light. Or it can be fully blocked out. It depends on what the room behind it is for.
Can you cut it to a shape?
Yes - a logo, lettering or any custom outline, cut and supplied on application tape so it goes on as one piece rather than as loose letters.
Do you install it?
Tell us the job and we will let you know. A shopfront window or a wall mural is worth having done properly; a small decal is straightforward to apply yourself and we will send it with instructions.

Heavier boards, textured and uncoated stocks, laminates, soft-touch. Tell us what you're after and we'll tell you what's achievable and what it changes.
A non-standard size or shape
Square, slimline, rounded corners, die-cut. All possible, and all worth quoting properly rather than guessing at.
