How we work

The questions bigger organisations ask before they buy anything.

Some buyers need more than a price. A school board, a procurement officer or a not-for-profit committee has to justify the decision to somebody else - so this page exists to give them what they need, in a form they can forward.

Working with government and larger organisations

We're a Canberra business with our own production facility in Fyshwick, supplying departments, agencies and institutions across the city.

Why local matters procedurally, not sentimentally. Under ACT Government procurement thresholds, a purchase between $25,000 and $500,000 can satisfy its quotation requirement with three written quotes, or a single quote from a small-to-medium ACT business. We're a small-to-medium business at a Canberra street address, twenty minutes from most departments. That's a shorter process for you, not a pitch.

What you'll usually need from us

  • ABN - in the footer of every page
  • Certificates of currency for our insurances
  • A formal written quote, quickly
  • Purchase order acceptance and invoicing terms
  • A named contact who stays the same

End of financial year. If you're closing out a commitment in May or June, tell us the deadline first. We'll tell you straight away whether it's achievable rather than after you've committed.

For ongoing programs, an Digital Showroom\u2122 gives your team a locked-down approved range with cost-centre reporting, which removes most of the administrative overhead from a uniform or merchandise program.

Where our products come from

Three groups of customers ask us the same question in three different ways.

  • School boards are directed to source uniforms from ethical producers with published factory lists.
  • Government buyers work under a framework that treats textiles as a high-risk category for modern slavery above $200,000.
  • Not-for-profits have to justify a merchandise spend to a board that cares where things are made.

So rather than a line on a brands page, here's the actual answer.

At Capital Prints, we believe it is the responsibility of everyone to contribute positively to our society. That's why we only partner with trusted, reputable suppliers who prioritise ethical sourcing and environmental responsibility.

We can evidence country of manufacture on request, and our supplier brands publish their own sourcing and factory information - ask and we'll point you at it directly rather than paraphrasing it.

Need something specific for a submission?

Tell us what the form asks for. If we hold it, we'll send it. If we don't, we'll say so - a polished claim that collapses under a procurement question is worse than an honest gap.

Tell us the date. We'll tell you how it's possible.

Most quotes come back the same business day. Give us quantity, branding and deadline, and we can usually map out a way to get there.
