Banners & Fence Mesh
The hung banner: construction hoardings, sports fences and event entries.
Printed to PVC, fabric or perforated mesh at whatever size the space is, hemmed and finished so it can actually be hung.
The size is driven by the gap you are filling rather than by a list, so tell us the space and how you plan to fix it up and we will come back with the right material and finishing.
Timing is confirmed with your quote - tell us your date and we'll say straight away whether it's achievable. Collect from Fyshwick, or we ship anywhere in Australia.
PVC is the hard-wearing default. Fabric hangs softer and photographs better indoors. Mesh lets wind through, which is what a fence needs.
Quoted to your spec, quantity and deadline.
Artwork requirements
Large format is read from metres away, so it needs far less resolution than print does - but it is less forgiving about scale and bleed.
- Print-ready PDF with no trim, crop or registration marks on it
- Set up at 100% scale full size, not scaled down. We'll send you the right artwork template for your chosen specs once the quote is approved
- Vector art if you have it it scales to any size and the edges stay sharp. A photo or a flattened logo can't
- Bitmap images at 130 dpi or higher at full size large format is read from metres away, so it needs far less than a business card
- Fonts converted to outlines as paths or curves, so nothing substitutes on our end
- Every image and element embedded anything linked rather than embedded arrives missing
- CMYK, not RGB and if brand colour is critical, send Pantone references from the PANTONE+ Solid Coated library
We'll send you the template
Once you've chosen your specs and approved the quote, our team sends the correct artwork template for exactly that product and size, with the bleed and safe area already marked. Nothing to hunt for, and no guessing which one applies.
Not sure? Send what you have. Our in-house design team checks every file before it goes to press and we'll tell you if something needs fixing before it costs you a reprint. Artwork preparation is quoted separately, and you'll never get a surprise line item.
Common questions
Solid banner or mesh?
If it is going anywhere exposed, mesh. A solid banner on a fence acts like a sail in wind and eventually either the banner tears or the fence moves. Mesh is perforated so the wind passes through it, which is why you see it on construction hoardings and sports fences. Indoors or on a wall, a solid banner is fine and the print is sharper.
How do I hang it?
Most are hemmed all round with eyelets at set intervals, which covers cable ties, rope or bungee cord. Pole pockets suit a banner that slides onto a rail top and bottom. Tell us what you are fixing it to and we will finish it to suit rather than leaving you to work it out on site.
How long will it last outside?
Longer than corflute, and it depends on sun and wind exposure. These are built for seasons rather than weekends. If it needs to go up and come down repeatedly, say so - that changes the finishing more than the material.
Anything else
Something outside the standard spec?
The standard spec covers most jobs. Where it gets interesting is everything that isn't on this page.
Matching something you already have
Send us a sample. We'll match the stock, the finish and the trim so a reprint sits alongside what you have rather than beside it.
A stock or finish that isn't listed
Heavier boards, textured and uncoated stocks, laminates, soft-touch. Tell us what you're after and we'll tell you what's achievable and what it changes.
A non-standard size or shape
Square, slimline, rounded corners, die-cut. All possible, and all worth quoting properly rather than guessing at.
Tell us the date. We'll tell you how it's possible.
Most quotes come back the same business day. Give us quantity, branding and deadline, and we can usually map out a way to get there.
