Corflute Signs

Examples of work we've printed. We send a digital proof of your artwork before anything goes to press.

Corflute Signs

Temporary signage that goes up fast and reads from the road.

Printed direct to genuine Corflute board on a UV flatbed press, in any size from 150 x 150mm up to 2400 x 1200mm, in 3mm or 5mm.

The workhorse of site signage, real estate boards, events and elections. Recyclable when you're done with it, eyelets and all.

Timing is confirmed with your quote - tell us your date and we'll say straight away whether it's achievable. Collect from Fyshwick, or we ship anywhere in Australia.

Size

Anything from 150 x 150mm up to 2400 x 1200mm. Larger than that is made up as multiple panels.

Thickness

5mm is stiffer and holds up better in wind. 3mm suits signs fixed flat to a surface.

Printing
Eyelets

Clear rather than metal, so they don't block the artwork and can't rust.

Cutting

Standard is a square or a rectangle. Custom covers circles, triangles, hexagons and rounded corners.

Artwork requirements

Large format is read from metres away, so it needs far less resolution than print does - but it is less forgiving about scale and bleed.

  • Print-ready PDF with no trim, crop or registration marks on it
  • Set up at 100% scale with 1mm bleed full size, not scaled down
  • Any bitmap images at 130 dpi or higher at full size a sign is read from metres away, so it needs far less than a business card
  • Fonts converted to outlines as paths or curves, so nothing substitutes on our end
  • Every image and element embedded anything linked rather than embedded arrives missing
  • Leave 40mm clear around every eyelet the eyelet punches through the artwork, so anything important there disappears
  • Custom cut lines as a spot colour named 'cut' that's how the cutter knows the shape from the print
  • CMYK, not RGB and if brand colour is critical, send Pantone references from the PANTONE+ Solid Coated library

We'll send you the template

Once you've chosen your specs and approved the quote, our team sends the correct artwork template for exactly that product and size, with the bleed and safe area already marked. Nothing to hunt for, and no guessing which one applies.

Not sure? Send what you have. Our in-house design team checks every file before it goes to press and we'll tell you if something needs fixing before it costs you a reprint. Artwork preparation is quoted separately, and you'll never get a surprise line item.

Common questions

How long do they last outside?

It depends on how much UV they get. Outdoors in full sun the print fades over time; indoors, out of the weather, they last a lot longer. Corflute is a temporary product and it is honest about that - tell us where the signs are going and how long they need to hold up, and we will tell you whether it is the right material or whether you want something rigid instead.

3mm or 5mm?

5mm is the stiffer board and the usual choice. It holds its shape freestanding, on ground spikes, or anywhere it catches wind. 3mm is fine when the sign is screwed flat to a fence, a hoarding or a wall and has something solid behind it.

What size are the eyelets?

25mm across the outside and 12mm through the middle. They're clear rather than metal, so they don't rust and you can see the artwork through them instead of a ring blocking it. Leave 40mm clear in your design wherever an eyelet lands.

Can you cut them to a shape?

Yes. Circles, triangles, hexagons and other convex shapes, plus rounded corners on any of them. If you want rounded corners, tell us the radius - 30mm is the usual recommendation. Save any custom cut line in your artwork as a spot colour named 'cut'.

How big can they go?

Up to 2400 x 1200mm as a single sheet, and down to 150 x 150mm. Anything larger is made up as multiple panels, which changes how it mounts and where the joins fall, so it's worth telling us the full size early.

What artwork do you need?

A print-ready PDF at 100% scale with 1mm bleed and no trim, crop or registration marks, CMYK rather than RGB, fonts converted to outlines and every image embedded. Bitmap images need to be 130 dpi or higher at full size. If the sign has eyelets, keep anything important 40mm clear of them.

Are they recyclable?

Yes, once printed on, and with the eyelets still in. Which is part of why the clear eyelets are used rather than metal ones.

Anything else

Something outside the standard spec?

Corflute covers temporary signage well. Past that it becomes a different material and a different conversation.

  • Bigger than 2400 x 1200mm

That's the largest single sheet. Above it the sign is made up as multiple panels, which changes how it's mounted and where the joins fall. Worth planning rather than discovering.

  • Something meant to be permanent

Corflute is a temporary product, and it's honest about that. If the sign is permanent, aluminium composite or a rigid substrate is the right answer and we'll quote it that way.

  • Signs plus everything else

Site signage, a pull-up banner, teardrops and the shirts the crew is wearing in front of them. Quoted together they're colour-matched as one job.

Tell us the date. We'll tell you how it's possible.

Most quotes come back the same business day. Give us quantity, branding and deadline, and we can usually map out a way to get there.
